System of a Down, Slipknot Lead Loaded Lineup for Australia’s 2012 Soundwave Festival

Soundwave Festival, Australia’s premiere traveling rock 'n’ roll circus, has announced tits 2012 lineup and dates, and what a lineup it is!

System of a Down and Slipknot will be headlining the monstrous event, sharing the stage with a stockpile of great acts like Limp Bizkit, Hole and Marilyn Manson, just to name a few.

The metal contingent is making a strong showing as well with Machine Head, Lamb of God and Mastodon all aboard.

If theatrical presence is your thing, then Black Veil Brides and Steel Panther will be to your liking with guitar solos, hair solos (no really, Steel Panther’s set usually includes a hair solo) and make-up galore.

For those of you who just like to rock out to guitar driven tunes check out Alter Bridge, Black Label Society  and Hellyeah!

The well rounded lineup offers a little something for everyone with even more acts still to be announced. Anyone up for a road trip?
