Swedish metal band Avatar recently rocked the Studio at Webster Hall in New York City. The band has been touring in promotion of their new album ‘Hail the Apocalypse.’
On Jan. 30, 2013, history was made for the Swedish hard rock band, Avatar. Filling the basement of New York City's Webster Hall, known as The Studio, Avatar played their first show on US soil since their inception in 2001. Playing a 10-song set, the guys from Sweden set the bar high for their upcoming tour with Sevendust and Lacuna Coil, which kicks off on Feb. 1 in Greenville, S.C.
With Black Veil Brides making their way to Loudwire’s Cage Match Hall of Fame, it’s time for two new bands and their latest tracks to duke it out!
Step into an Avatar live show for a few gloriously loud and riff-filled minutes by watching this rowdy performance video of the band. Frontman Johannes Eckerström rocks some killer, creepy face paint that looks like something out of the famed graphic novel 'V for Vendetta,' with a little 'A Clockwork Orange' thrown in for good measure. He cuts a striking and unforgettable figure on stage, that's for sure.
