Talent shows can go two ways. Either a kid can display how much talent he or she has at something, or a kid can display how much of a lack of talent he or she has. Those in attendance have to take the good with the bad, and here we have a kid who dazzles the crowd.
Offering up one of the most anticipated tours of the fall, Avenged Sevenfold rolled into the TD Garden in Boston last night (Oct. 9) – six-string's blazing. Only adding to the tour’s mass appeal were the addition of opening acts Deftones and Ghost B.C., making for a triple bill of royal proportions.
Avenged Sevenfold released their sixth studio album, 'Hail to the King,' on Aug. 23. Although the act's fans have been eating up the album, Avenged Sevenfold have been met by various detractors as well, including Machine Head frontman Robb Flynn. Avenged Sevenfold singer M. Shadows responded to Flynn's criticism a short while ago, and now, guitarist Zacky Vengeance has done the same.
Machine Head frontman Robb Flynn recently took a shot at Avenged Sevenfold, claiming that the band lifted hooks from prominent metal bands for their 2013 album, 'Hail to the King,' which Flynn also called a "covers album." Day 1 of the Monster Energy Aftershock Festival, featuring Korn, Megadeth and Shinedown, would be a tough act to follow. But leave it to Avenged Sevenfold to lead a Day 2 attack that was nothing short of breathtaking.
Earlier this week, Machine Head frontman Robb Flynn slammed Avenged Sevenfold and their new album 'Hail to the King.' Calling 'Hail to the King' a "covers album," Flynn channeled his inner David Letterman to construct a Top 10 list of jokes about Avenged Sevenfold's latest record, in the process accusing A7X of "blatant jackery" of Metallica, Megadeth and Guns N' Roses songs. Having seen the list, Avenged vocalist M. Shadows has offered a retort in Flynn's direction.
