Avenged Sevenfold turn up as performing characters in the new 'Call of Duty: Black Ops II' video game, but there have been a few people suggesting that late drummer The Rev also makes a guest appearance as a grainy figure in the balcony. However, singer M. Shadows says that any likeness to their drummer was purely unintentional and was not something they signed off on.
After revealing recently that Avenged Sevenfold were about six songs into a writing their upcoming album. M. Shadows has now given a big hint as to what direction the band will be taking on the disc. He also has laid out a timetable for the album's release.
There may have been questions at one point as to whether or not Avenged Sevenfold would continue after supporting the 'Nightmare' disc as a tribute to late drummer Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan, but the band is definitely progressing toward a new album.
Video game fans have been anxiously awaiting the release of 'Call of Duty: Black Ops II,' which hits shelves tomorrow (Nov. 13). It was previously announced that Avenged Sevenfold's song 'Carry On' would be part of the game's soundtrack, but now we've learned the band makes an appearance in the game, as well.
When Avenged Sevenfold penned the song ‘Nightmare,’ they probably weren’t anticipating rocking babies to sleep with it, but new takes on some of their most popular tracks are making them fit for the younger, diaper-sporting crowd.
Rap/metal collaborations have been common since Anthrax and Public Enemy teamed up for 'Bring the Noise.' Now, Avenged Sevenfold vocalist M. Shadows and guitarist Synyster Gates have lent their talents to a new song by hip-hop artist Machine Gun Kelly.
After five straight wins and relentless voting from their fans, Avenged Sevenfold have entered the Loudwire Cage Match Hall of Fame with their latest single ‘Carry On,’ which is featured in the video game ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops II.’
After a tough battle, Avenged Sevenfold came out on top against Five Finger Death Punch in the previous Cage Match round. Now, can A7X and their song 'Carry On' win their fifth and final battle to gain entrance into the Loudwire Cage Match Hall of Fame?
