The ever-satisfying Heavy MTL festival, which takes place in Montreal, Canada, every summer, delivered yet again. The festival was packed with some of metal's biggest acts and displayed a particularly diverse lineup that appeals to all sorts of fans across the genre's vast spectrum. The billing ranged from Avenged Sevenfold and Godsmack, to Children of Bodom and At The Gates, to Mastodon and Finntroll, with a host of others gracing the stage including a special performance from Danzig with Doyle and Rob Zombie.

The annual Revolver Golden Gods Awards has just announced some intriguing additions to the show's 2013 event. Danzig have been confirmed to perform at this year's Golden Gods, with former Misfits guitarist Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein set to join the band for a special guest appearance. Additionally, Gene Simmons, Marilyn Manson, Alice Cooper will grace the awards show along with more of rock's biggest names.
Uh oh. While we love Glenn Danzig and most of his recorded output, he does have a reputation for being a bit cranky and disagreeable at times. His rep often precedes the former Misfits legend– just ask the North Side Kings, who famously filmed an altercation between themselves and the singer, where Danzig got his clock cleaned by one of the members! Well, turns out Danzig didn't do anything to curry favor with fans and concert organizers in Austin this weekend, either.
