Meshuggah Reveal Unnerving Animated Video For ‘I Am Colossus’
Marching along the road to the Death Match Hall of Fame with the feet of giants, Meshuggah have crushed yet another opponent. When fellow metalheads are in dire need, the underground music community has a strong history of coming together and selflessly lending a hand. After a gruesome bus crash last year, the members of Baroness were left with serious injuries and daunting medical bills. In response, acts such as Mastodon, Meshuggah, Napalm Death, Neurosis, Circle Takes the Square, Municipal Waste and many more have donated rare items for the upcoming Baroness Relief auction.
Meshuggah just crushed Six Feet Under in our latest Death Match. With the Swedish giants stomping out their second band in a row, they find themselves halfway to the Death Match Hall of Fame and becoming the first act to ever have two songs inducted. However, they now go against fellow Death Match Hall of Famers.
Swedish extreme metal titans Meshuggah were able to knock off Neurosis in our latest Death Match, beginning Meshuggah's second run toward the Death Match Hall of Fame. Meshuggah were back at full strength Friday night (Feb. 15) in New York, even if frontman Jens Kidman was still a bit under the weather. The vocalist has been suffering from the flu and recently had to miss a couple of the band's shows, but he triumphantly returned for the New York performance.
Meshuggah vocalist Jens Kidman has been fighting a serious flu during his band's current North American tour with Animals as Leaders + Intronaut. Since Feb. 12, Kidman has been unable to perform because of his affliction, forcing the rest of the Swedish extreme metal band to get creative with filling Kidman's vacant spot.

With the Californian act claiming their first Death Match win, they've got a chance to make it into the Death Match Hall of Fame by securing three more wins. However, in order to gain another win, Neurosis have to shatter through one of extreme metal's biggest acts.
After dazzling North American audiences on a tour earlier this year, Swedish titans Meshuggah will be making a triumphant return to the continent in early 2013. They will be supported by Animals as Leaders and Intronaut on the trek.
