The bad news continues to pile on for Puddle of Mudd frontman Wes Scantlin. As previously reported back in January, Scantlin was pulled over in Culver City, Calif. for a simple traffic violation. After showing signs of intoxication, his car was searched and a “controlled substance” was reportedly found, leading to his arrest.

Puddle of Mudd frontman Wes Scantlin has recently been going through divorce proceedings with his wife Jessica Nicole Scantlin, but the soon-to-be ex-wife has taken the divorce to the next level. Despite having signed a prenuptial agreement, Jessica Scantlin is attempting to get the prenup thrown out.

The past few months have been rough on Puddle of Mudd singer Wes Scantlin. In November Scantlin filed for divorce, in December the IRS was reportedly pursuing him for more than $60,000 in back taxes, and now TMZ is reporting that last month Scantlin was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

Puddle of Mudd's latest album, 'Re(disc:)overed,' may have earned the band another Top 5 album on Billboard's Hard Rock charts this past August, but that doesn't mean 2011 has been all sunshine and roses for frontman Wes Scantlin -- in fact, between filing for divorce from his wife of four years and losing the band's guitarist, Paul Phillips, something tells us that Scantlin won't be sorry to see the year end in a couple of weeks.
