Family obligations and guitarist Jon Donais' new gig as Anthrax's lead guitarist have led Shadows Fall to announce a hiatus from touring.
For March Metal Madness this year, we're trying to find the greatest metal album of the 21st Century. In this first battle within the Headbanger Region, one of history's most purely powerful acts face down one of modern metal's most solid bands.
Shadows Fall have been touring relentlessly since their latest album ‘Fire From the Sky’ dropped last year. We recently chatted with singer Brian Fair and he not only chatted about 'Fire From the Sky' but the band’s upcoming material, as well. Fair also spoke about being a proud ‘Masshole’ born and raised and talked all about the eclectic music scene in Massachusetts and much more.
Anthrax have not named a full-time replacement yet for exiting guitarist Rob Caggiano, but they will at least be covered for their upcoming tours. The band revealed that Shadows Fall guitarist Jon Donais will sit in with the band for their upcoming Fly Festival dates in India, the Soundwave Festival shows in a Australia and the group's headlining slot on the Metal Alliance trek in North America.
Killswitch Engage have had an incredible year to say the least, on top of reuniting with original vocalist Jesse Leach, touring nonstop and recording a new record, the band celebrated the 10 year anniversary of their album ‘Alive or Just Breathing’ with a headlining tour. We had the recent pleasure of catching Killswitch Engage along with Shadows Fall and Acaro in Brooklyn, N.Y., at a sold-out show.
