Anyone on this year’s ShipRocked cruise knows that Five Finger Death Punch could have completely powered the boat themselves with a pair of electric performances. The band was the very first to rock the boat on the first day as they hit the Deck stage as the Norwegian Pearl left Miami. Later in the cruise, they played another monster gig in the Stardust Theater. ShipRocked 2014 was definitely one to remember, especially if you are a 5FDP fan.
No one can ever accuse Mark Tremonti of being an underachiever, as the guitarist has always had a full plate juggling two successful bands in Alter Bridge and Creed. However, back in 2012, he took things to a whole new level releasing the debut album ‘All I Was,’ from his self titled project, Tremonti, which saw him adding the role of frontman to his resume.
Fans who were on this year’s ShipRocked cruise are still having dreams of the sunny weather and multiple stages of music. As fans met and chatted with numerous musicians who walked all over the ship, lots of people talked about how approachable and pleasant Nonpoint frontman Elias Soriano and the rest of band were to their fans. When Loudwire sat down with Soriano, we couldn't help but agree.
As Day 3 of ShipRocked dawned, it would serve as the last day of invading the beautiful, private Bahamian island so rockers were up early to take full advantage of the exotic surroundings one last time. The music didn’t kick off until early afternoon allowing fans to catch up on some much needed sleep, work on their tans and re-energize for another day of non-stop rock 'n' roll revelry.
Hangovers be damned, ShipRocked Day 2 kicked off on the private island of Great Stirrup Cay in the beautiful Bahamas. Rockers that rolled out of bed early enough were in for something special as Art of Dying officially kicked things off on the beach stage. With a high energy performance, Frontman Jonny Hetherington took a moment to take it all in calling the experience a true “bucket list” moment for his band. They wouldn’t be the only band to hit the beach stage on Monday though, Nonpoint also offered up a blazing set proving that it really is better in the Bahamas.
