Stone Sour - Page 6
Stone Sour set the bar high with their 'House of Gold & Bones Part 1' disc in 2012, and they don't disappoint with the concept album's conclusion. What listeners get on 'Part 2' is a hard-hitting collection that digs deeper into the storylines that are laid out in the opening disc. And, as Corey Taylor has stated, the second portion plays more like a soundtrack than the first release.
Stone Sour have taken on one of the most ambitious projects in recent rock history with the release of their albums 'House of Gold & Bones Part 1' and 'Part 2.' With 'Part 1' a fixture on several 2012 year-end Top 10 lists, including our own, the stage is set for 'Part 2' to get the spotlight when it arrives on April 9.
Let the pummeling commence! Stone Sour are giving us another taste of their 'House of Gold & Bones Part 2' album by offering up the preview track 'Gravesend' ahead of the disc's April 9 release. In addition, they're also teasing their forthcoming 'House of Gold & Bones' comic with a new trailer for the release.
It's been a busy year for Corey Taylor, who not only is promoting Stone Sour's upcoming 'House of Gold & Bones Part 2' album, but has also enjoyed some extra recognition for his collaboration with Dave Grohl, Rick Nielsen and Scott Reeder on the single 'From Can to Can't' that's part of the soundtrack for Grohl's 'Sound City' documentary. Loudwire recently spoke with Taylor, who revealed that he's thrilled to have had the opportunity to work with Grohl and still has a few names on his dream collaborator list.
Ever since Stone Sour unveiled the trailer in late February for 'Do Me a Favor,' fans have been not-so-patiently waiting to find out what the full vividly artistic clip would end up being. As it turns out, frontman Corey Taylor and company have incorporated several of the characters from the 'House of Gold & Bones Part 2' concept album into the animated narrative for the clip.
