With anticipation building for their first album since 2005, the Darkness have debuted the lyric video for the song ‘Every Inch of You' from their upcoming ‘Hot Cakes’ disc (due Aug. 21). The first single and video from the album, ‘Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us’ was released earlier this year. In addition, the full track list for ‘Hot Cakes’ has also been released.

The Darkness have come out of retirement and will issue their third album sometime this year. Singer Justin Hawkins shared details about the unusual recording process for the release, as half was recorded in England and the other half in Nashville. There was a break in between sessions, since the band hit the festival circuit in Europe last summer to wear away any road rust.
The Darkness already surprised fans with their reunion announcement in March of last year, but the glam-rockers surprised millions tonight (Feb. 5) with an appearance in a Super Bowl commercial for Samsung. In Samsung's well-known parody commercials making fun of Apple's "hipster" customers, The Darkness frontman Justin Hawkins dawned his famous one-piece for the Super Bowl commercial.
Since the reunion of the new school glam rock band the Darkness, fans have been buzzing for a new album. After a handful of British tour dates, the band returned to the studio to compose their highly-anticipated reunion album - their first since the 2005 full-length 'One Way Ticket to Hell… and Back.'
As previously reported, the Darkness are returning to North America for a tour next month, the band's first stateside outing since 2004. Frontman Justin Hawkins and his guitarist brother Dan Hawkins told Loudwire recently that the band is hard at work on a new album that is tentatively set to drop in the spring.
