Tarja is set to release her new album The Shadow Self and she's teaming up with Loudwire to exclusively bring you the new video for the song "Innocence" off the disc.

The clip (watch above) begins with the former Nightwish singer decked out in black, walking across a darkened room to a white piano she begins playing as a lead in to the heavier symphonic song. There's also a conceptual part to the video as we're taken inside a family's living room and what appears to be a combative family dynamic that's affecting the couple's young child.

"The video was shot in Buenos Aires with movie director Mariano Cattaneo," Tarja tells us. "The theme of the video is about a very sensitive subject that hopefully helps people to think over it. I love the film approach to the video like a short movie."

"Innocence" is featured on Tarja's upcoming album, The Shadow Self, which is a heavier rock sequel to the album The Brightest Void, released earlier this month. The Shadow Self is due in August via earMUSIC. You can currently pre-order the album via iTunes and get "Innocence" as an instant grat track. There are also a variety of physical order options at this location.

Tarja is in the midst of a summer tour that wraps in early August, but she'll return to the stage in October and November for more shows. See her full touring itinerary here.
