The spirit of rock is alive and well as The Darkness have gone back to the mine with their new song "Open Fire." The band just debuted a primarily performance piece for the song's video, which can be seen above.

As for the track, it's a driving rocker delivering guitar sounds reminiscent of The Cult's '80s output and is definitely one that will keep you rocking along. Drummer Emily Dolan Davies keeps the beat behind the kit while the guitars push the pace and frontman Justin Hawkins belts with the best of 'em, taking his scream to new heights on the chorus.

The video finds the outfit taking their show to the rocky beaches on a windy day, with occasional close-ups of Hawkins and fire-breathing women cut in as well. Though the clip features Emily Dolan Davies behind the drum kit, it was revealed earlier this week that she's exited the band.

"Open Fire" is featured on The Darkness' Last of Our Kind album, which is due in June. There is currently a PledgeMusic pre-order for the disc where you can get the album and any number of incentives based upon how much you want to pay. Check out the pre-order at this location.
