The Faceless Total Van After Crashing Into Moose

Faceless Van

What happens when van meets moose? Utter and brutal carnage! Unfortunately, the Faceless were driving the van at the time while traveling on the Canadian leg of this year’s Summer Slaughter tour. But we’re happy to report that no Faceless member was injured in the wreck.

During the main leg of this year’s Summer Slaughter tour, our friends up in Canada weren’t privy to a tour stop, but Summer Slaughter has made things right by rounding up the Faceless, Rings of Saturn, Archspire, Fallujah, Fatality and Black Crown Initiate for 10 shows up north. Three additional U.S. shows were also added.

The tour has about one week left, but the Faceless were stopped in their tracks by a metal-hating moose. Guitarist Michael Keene posted a photo of the totaled van. “Shortly after switching to a van, because our driver quit on us, we have now totaled said van by hitting a moose in Canada,” Keene writes via Instagram. “I honestly can’t believe we’re all alive and no one was hurt.”

The Faceless elaborated on their crash in a new Facebook post:

To elaborate on the events of last night, in a freak accident, we ended up totaling our vehicle on a stretch of Canadian highway. A pack of moose were covering all lanes of the highway and it was completely unavoidable. Some how we all managed to walk away totally unharmed, though a bit shaken up.

Through the help of our tour mates in Fallujah, Black Crown Initiate and Archspire, we managed to get to a tow yard and onward to a rental facility to get a vehicle and get back on the road. We WILL be playing the remaining tour dates on our current headline tour.

Thank you for all the support in the past few hours and we hope to see you at the upcoming shows.

We’re glad to hear that the Faceless are in good health and will be able to continue playing the extended Summer Slaughter dates. You’ve got to respect that dedication. See below for the remaining list of dates.
