Sad news for fans of the Used looking to catch the band live in 2015. Guitarist Quinn Allman will take a temporary hiatus from the band for an entire year.

Quinn Allman, like vocalist Bert McCracken and bassist Jeph Howard, is an original member of the Used, forming the Orem, Utah, act in 2001. Allman was first heard on the Used's self-titled debut in 2002, which achieved gold status despite only hitting No. 63 on the Billboard Top 200. The Used hit gold once again in 2004 with 'In Love and Death.' Most recently, the Used unleashed their sixth album, 'Imaginary Enemy,' in 2014.

Quinn has been along for the whole ride, so longtime fans were disappointed to hear about the guitarist's temporary leave, which was announced via Facebook:

We are saddened to announce that Quinn will be taking a temporary hiatus from the band for the next year.
Quinn is a vital part of the group and we wish him the best in his upcoming endeavors and look forward to the day he rejoins us on the road.
We are thrilled, however, to share that Justin Shekoski of Saosin will be filling in for Quinn as we hit the road this year! Justin has been a close friend to all of us for many years and will help make this tour a memorable one!
The Used

Guitarist Justin Shekoski helped form Saosin in 2003 and stayed with the band until its dissolution in 2010. Saosin reformed in 2014, performing gigs with original vocalist Anthony Green, who left in 2004 to form Circa Survive, The Sound of Animals Fighting and to embark on a successful solo career.

Less than a week ago, the Used announced a North American tour alongside Every Time I Die, Marmozets and the Eeries. For the full list of dates, click here.
