Theory of a Deadman fans, meet Fallout Phil! The fans turned out en masse to help the band name their new mascot and after the votes were counted, Fallout Phil was chosen as the moniker for this gas mask wearing creature. See the video announcement above.

Fans were presented with a series of four art pieces featuring the mascot, with frontman Tyler Connolly also offering some initial context in a statement. Connolly stated, “We wear masks to hide, we wear masks to pretend we’re somebody else, and we put them on to filter out all the s–t in this world. Our new mascot represents all our fans who wear these metaphoric masks for whatever reason. Help us name him/her and be a part of this bad ass concoction.”

Via Loudwire, the group had fans send in suggestions, then picked out their 10 top choices so that voting could take place. After thousands of votes, Fallout Phil, submitted by Steven Brandsrud, was chosen as the victor.

A big shout out goes out to Theory of a Deadman fans for the great turnout, and congratulations go out to fan Steven Brandsrud for submitting the winning entry. You can now expect to see Fallout Phil ranking among the best mascots in rock, punk and metal. And look for Theory of a Deadman on tour with Bush beginning Jan. 30 in San Francisco.
