In the closest battle of all the categories in the 2012 Loudwire Music Awards, Three Days Grace's 'Chalk Outline' edged out Papa Roach's 'Still Swingin' for Rock Song of the Year.

What started out as a 10-band competition turned into a two-band dogfight between Three Days Grace and Papa Roach. Each band promoted it heavily on their social sites, with the battle going down to the final minute. In the end, after hundreds of thousands of votes, Three Days Grace's 'Chalk Outline' took the victory over Papa Roach's 'Still Swingin' by the slimmest of margins - 33 percent to 32.94 percent.

With singer Adam Gontier recently shocking fans by announcing his departure from the band, he's going out on the top of his game -- evidenced by Three Days Grace's victory in the Rock Song of the Year category. As the band prepares to hit the road with new singer Matt Walst of My Darkest Days, they are doing so with a big boost as 2012 Loudwire Music  Awards winners.
