Tom Morello adds some of his signature whammy-fueled lead guitar madness to Bruce Springsteen's new single 'Death to My Hometown,' and appears in the new video that was just released for the tune.

When Rage Against the Machine covered Bruce Springsteen's 'The Ghost of Tom Joad' in 1997, who knew that that cover would lead to guitarist Tom Morello doing guest work on the latest album from The Boss? Morello has since joined Springsteen onstage several times to perform the original version of the track. Anyone who saw Morello rock out with Bruce at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 25th Anniversary concert knew it was only a matter of time before the pair worked together again.

That collaboration comes on 'Death to My Hometown' from Springsteen's latest album, 'Wrecking Ball.' In the recently posted performance video, Morello takes the stage to mimic the E Street Band's horn section with little more than his guitar and trusty Whammy pedal.

Morello recently released his third full-length studio album, 'World Wide Rebel Songs,' under his folk-rock alter ego, The Nightwatchman. He also contributed a song to the four-disc 'Occupy This Album' compilation, which will be released on May 15.
