A few weeks back, Tremonti revealed their plans to hit the road in April and also teased the fact that they had named their new album Cauterize and were shooting for a May release. But things have changed a bit.

The disc now has a firm release date of June 9 and from the early previews, it sounds like it's going to be a rocker. The band previously previewed a bit of the song "Radical Change" while teasing the new disc and tour. Now they're giving fans a taste of a heavily chugging rocker called "Flying Monkeys" that can be heard in the player provided above.

Tremonti kept fans up to date during the recording of their disc. The band entered the studio with producer Elvis Baskette to put together the album. And after a few studio teasers turned up online, the group put out the call to fans for a special listening party held in Orlando back in January.

The tour remains intact, with the start date kicking off April 25 at the Central Florida Fairgrounds. The band is currently booked through May 23 in Destin, Fla. See all of their tour dates here.
