Brooklyn's legendary Type O Negative know a thing or two about All Hallow's Eve, but Avenged Sevenfold aren't intimidated! But which band's tune will advance out of Round 1 of our Most Haunting Halloween Track tournament?

When the leaves begin to turn, everyone knows its time for some Type O Negative. The band is synonymous with the changing of seasons and the onset of All Hallow’s Eve. “Black No. 1” is a song about a gothic girl described in morbid beauty with the descriptors of Halloween: “Little wolf skin boots and clove cigarettes / An erotic funeral for which she's dressed / Her perfume smells like burning leaves / Every day is Halloween.”

Avenged Sevenfold wrote one Hell of a song in "Nightmare." The song might sound like its about a bad dream, but its a bit deeper than that with lyrical themes about dealing with your demons and your actions landing you in the fiery inferno of the afterlife. The lyrics paint this picture pretty clearly with the chorus: "You should have known / The price of evil / And it hurts to know / That you belong here, yeah / Ooh, it's your f---in' nightmare."
