Welcome back Veil of Maya. The band's progress toward a new album hit a bump in the road midway through last year with the exit of frontman Brandon Butler. The vocalist split not long after the band finished their run on the Mayhem Festival this summer. But Veil of Maya wasted no time in finding his replacement and continuing on toward their upcoming release.

In a Facebook post, the band unveiled their first new music from the upcoming disc, a track called 'Phoenix,' but more importantly they also revealed the identity of their new vocals -- Lukas Magyar. The rocker comes to the group from the band Arms of Empires.

As you can hear in 'Phoenix,' the band loses nothing in brutality as Magyar can definitely deliver with power. The song also features heavy percussion early on as the jarring track digs deep into a tale of evil and a dismembered soul. Watch the lyric video for the track above.

An official released date and title for the new album are still pending, but in the interim you can enjoy this new track, familiarize yourself with Magyar's vocals and get ready for the band hitting the road with Upon a Burning Body, Volumes, Gideon and The Last Ten Seconds of Life.
