What a night it was in Anaheim for Metal Allegiance! With many in town for NAMM, the focus shifted to the City National Grove of Anaheim Friday night (Jan. 20) as the all-star collective of rock and metal musicians paid tribute to some of the iconic legends of music with a must-see set. Loudwire streamed the "Tribute to Fallen Heroes" show via our Facebook and YouTube accounts, and for those of you who weren't able to catch it, we've got a video playlist above of some of the night's top moments.

Metal Allegiance opened the night with a pair of original songs -- "Pledge of Allegiance" and "Can't Kill the Devil," both of which can be seen in the playlist above. But from there it was all salutes to late musicians and there was some serious talent receiving homages. David BowieFreddie MercuryCliff Burton and Lemmy Kilmister are just a few of the artists saluted in the playlist above.

And speaking of talent, you can see Testament's Chuck Billy, Anthrax's Charlie Benante, Fozzy's Chris Jericho, Death Angel's Mark Osegueda, Machine Head's Phil Demmel, Slayer and Exodus' Gary Holt, The Winery Dogs' Billy Sheehan, Motorhead's Mikkey Dee and Halestorm's Arejay Hale using their musical chops to assist the core Metal Allegiance four of David Ellefson, Mike Portnoy, Alex Skolnick and Mark Menghi. Plus, there's a rather moving moment in the playlist above with the late Cliff Burton's father Ray Burton joining the band onstage. Click on the playlist above and one video will play after the other as the songs complete.
