For much of the year, it's been quiet in the We Came as Romans camp, but the band is about to emerge from the studio for what should be a busier fall. The group recently announced their participation in a trek headlined by I Prevail and it now appears as though they will have new music to support.

The band just posted a new teaser clip featuring some intricate artwork coming together onscreen against the musical backdrop of some pretty hypnotic and atmospheric sounding music that builds in intensity, concluding with the brutal heaviness we've come to expect. By the time the clip reaches its conclusion, the artwork gives way to the word "October." See the trailer above and the artwork for the album in its entirety below.

When we spoke with Dave Stephens at the end of touring for their self-titled album in 2016, it seemed the band was more prepared than ever for their next offering. "I think more so than ever we have a really good idea of what direction we want to go with the next one and sometimes that doesn’t happen until a few months into the writing process. This time around I think we all know where we want to take it," he explained at the time. We'll apparently see how that preparation paid off come October. When the band does return, they'll be without the services of longtime drummer Eric Choi, who exited the group in 2016.

Meanwhile, as stated, We Came as Romans have a full tour schedule ahead of them. The "Rage on the Stage" trek will feature the band playing with I Prevail, the Word Alive and Escape the Fate, for what should be a stellar tour package. The trek starts Sept. 20 in Oklahoma City and continues into early December. With an album expected in October, look for new music working its way into sets, especially in the latter portion of the run.
