Last month, the most epic drum battle of all time went down. On 'The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon,' Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith took on comic Will Ferrell in a doppelgänger war for the ages. In the end, Ferrell took home the golden cowbell, but the two battling percussionists have challenged a new lookalike, Metallica's Lars Ulrich.

The intense drummer vs. not-a-drummer challenge was brought on by insults traded back and forth between Smith and Ferrell. The 'Fallon' broadcast decided the winner between the two, but this hysterical ridiculousness may become a triple-threat. According to Will Ferrell, Ulrich's identity gets mixed up with both himself and Smith, thus, a new drum battle must take place.

"I mean, we did talk about another drum-off," Ferrell revealed to Spin. "With a third person that looks eerily similar to Chad and I. A third drummer out there. We talked about Lars [Ulrich], from Metallica. So, I don't know. Your article will be the first mentioning of it. Lars gets pissed because he gets mistaken for both me and Chad Smith. He can settle that score now, too."

Chad Smith capped off the challenge with, "There it is. The gauntlet is down."

Want to truly prove your ilk as a world-class drummer, Lars? Step up and take on both Will Ferrell and Chad Smith in a three-way drum battle. It is your destiny.
