An insanely dedicated fan base can elevate bands to unheard levels of superstardom, and with these two acts, that fan dedication has allowed them to craft some truly special live experiences.

X Japan fans are a breed of their own. The band plays stadiums in their home country and recently headlined a show here at Madison Square Garden. Insane energy and reckless abandon run through the collective veins of X Japan, and that allowed the group to defeat Linkin Park in Round 1 of our bracket.

Avenged Sevenfold fans are of similar ilk. They allowed the band to defeat Five Finger Death Punch in Round 1 and will surely give the group a massive push against X Japan. Fire and gigantic pieces of band imagery regularly fill A7X's stage, as do some of rock's most talented shredders.
