Short. Not so sweet. And very much to the point. And just like that, XTRMST had played their first ever live show. The band, featuring AFI's Davey Havok and Jade Puget, took over Los Angeles' Roxy for a hard-hitting, aggressive, in-your-face rock show that left fans wanting more.

XTRMST allowed the AFI duo to explore their hardcore straight-edge roots and with a fully fleshed out live band. They delivered an explosive set filled with blistering guitars, rapid-fire drumming and much more for those lucky enough to catch it. The packed Roxy audience quickly morphed into a mosh pit, with audience members hopping up onstage to share vocals and stage dive throughout the night.

A hoodie-wearing Davey Havok took the stage and immediately commanded the audience's attention with 'Conformist.' Other standouts during the evening included 'Dirty Nails' (with Havok delivering an exasperating gasp at the end), the revved up 'Sharper,' a cover of Minor Threat's 'Filler' with special guest Steve Aoki lending a hand on vocals, 'The Breed' and the set-closing 'Exterminate.' The performance of 'Filler' with Aoki was shot by a fan at the show and can be seen below. Also, it was Aoki's Dim Mak record label that put out the XTRMST album.

Though the band's set clocked in at under an hour, they made the most of the time, leaving it all on the stage. And for those who want to see Havok and Puget unleash their aggression, this is a must-see show if more dates are to come. Fingers crossed they add to their itinerary.
