X Japan are a legendary band whose influence has spread across the globe. The veteran Japanese rockers will be playing a special one-off gig at New York's famed Madison Square Garden on Oct. 11, and in advance of the show, X Japan's leader Yoshiki stopped by Loudwire's studio to discuss the concert.

In addition to the show being the X Japan's only North American gig of the year, the concert will also feature the band playing as-yet-unreleased songs off their upcoming album. In addition, Yoshiki and the rest of X Japan will be paying tribute to fallen members Hide and Taiji during the show.

While in New York, Yoshiki will also participate in Comic-Con in an appearance with Stan Lee. The two previously collaborated on the comic book 'Blood Red Dragon.'
