With the tragic news that Linkin Park vocalist Chester Bennington has taken his own life, we remember the powerhouse vocalist with these 10 Unforgettable Moments.

Bennington’s voice was beyond special. Whether singing gently or belting out piercing screams, Chester evoked endless emotion from his audience, making him one of the most beloved musicians of the 21st century. We made sure to encompass his entire Linkin Park career in this video, starting with a 2000 performance of “In the End.” With the explosion of Hybrid Theory, it was one of the last times Linkin Park ever played clubs.

Chester Bennington offered some wise words about dedication toward fulfilling your dreams… and he did it before Linkin Park even became popular. During a 1999 interview, Bennington said, “You need to live it, you need to eat it, sleep it, wake up and the only way you’re ever even gonna have a chance to make it in this business is if you’re willing to sacrifice everything to achieve your goal.”

Shortly after the death of Chris Cornell, Linkin Park paid a beautiful tribute to Soundgarden’s late singer. While on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Chester and his bandmates performed “One More Light” for a somber crowd. Another beautiful moment was captured in 2017 with a stripped down performance of “Crawling.” The version of Linkin Park’s Hybrid Theory classic is just as incredible as the original and it begs to be heard by fans.

Rest in peace, Chester Bennington.
