Current A Perfect Circle and former Smashing Pumpkins guitarist James Iha has stepped back into the world of being a solo artist, with his 'Look to the Sky' album arriving next week. But, for those who want to sample it before the disc arrives in stores, Iha has united with TeamCoco.com to stream the effort a full week before its street date.

Iha co-produced the album with Shudder to Think's Nathan Larsson, who also makes a guest turn on the effort. The guitarist's first solo work in 15 years was recorded at his Stratosphere Sound studio in New York. In addition to Larsson, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' Karen O. and Nick Zinner, Tegan and Sara's Sara Quin, Fountains of Wayne's Adam Schlesinger, Antony & the Johnsons, and Television guitarist Tom Verlaine also make guest appearances. Iha says, "Working with all of these talented people helped the record evolve in great and unexpected ways. I feel like everything should lead up to something and this is a culmination of my journey."

Speaking about his new record, Iha stated, “I wanted this record to be more eclectic and reflect all of my tastes which is why it took so long. It was important to me for the record to be multi-dimensional and complex. Being a part of the Smashing Pumpkins, and working with so many other bands and artists since my last album gave me a fresh perspective on what music could be.”

The song 'To Who Knows Where' was put up as a preview track earlier this summer. You can hear that as well as the rest of the album at TeamCoco.com. Pre-orders for the 'Look to the Sky' album are currently being taken here.
