After nine years of fans patiently waiting, A Perfect Circle have finally released a new song. The solitary new track, 'By and Down,' will see an official release on Nov. 19 as a part of A Perfect Circle's 'Three Sixty' compilation, but fans can stream the new offering from Maynard James Keenan and Billy Howerdel right now at Spin.com (click below).

Although A Perfect Circle have only put out three full-length albums, the band's fan base has been rabid ever since APC made its debut with the masterful 'Mer de Noms' in 2000. 'Thirteenth Step' and 'eMOTIVe' promptly followed, before A Perfect Circle went on a self-imposed hiatus in 2005. However, vocalist Maynard James Keenan recently reassured fans that he's working not only on new A Perfect Circle material, but new Tool and Puscifer pieces, as well. Keenan even teased a 2014 release for Tool's fifth full-length album.

'By and Down' is a dynamic tune, much what one would expect from a Keenan / Howerdel production. The track opens with piano and orchestral chimes setting the mood, before Howerdel's simple but atmospheric guitar lead sends the song afloat, with Keenan acting as its sail. If you're a fan of A Perfect Circle, or any of Keenan's projects for that matter, 'By and Down' comes highly recommended.

In other A Perfect Circle news, the group's limited edition 'A Perfect Circle Live: Featuring Stone and Echo' box set has already sold out. However, fans will still be able to own a digital version of the set, as the 4 CD / 1 DVD box set will become available online beginning Nov. 26. The set will include all three A Perfect Circle albums performed live and CD + DVD formats of their 'Stone and Echo' performance, featuring a ripe collection of APC fan favorites and cover songs. You can also enter to win a copy of the physical release in the contest box below.
