Abbath, the namesake band formed by the former Immortal frontman, have released a music video for the song "Winterbane." The cut comes off their debut eponymous record, which features renowned black metal bassist King Ov Hell (Gorgoroth, God Seed) who had previously worked with Abbath in his side project I.

The mainman is noted for writing about the harsh Norwegian winters and "Winterbane" is no exception. Keeping the cold focus, the band is bathed in a black and white tone as Abbath and King Ov Hell swing their instruments around, making the purest of rock and roll faces through their corpse paint. Drummer Creature represents the name well, outfitted with a demonic mask as he hammers away at the kit with a push and pull between relentless double bass and anthemic stickwork.

While his tongue sticks out in a few clips, King keeps it in his cheek when talking about the video, exclaiming, "After some months of hard work, we are finally ready to present you the greatest metal video of all time, 'Winterbane.' Next project would be to build a wall between Sweden and Norway, and have the Swedes pay for it. We are making metal great again!"

Leading the Decibel Magazine Tour, Abbath will be featured as the headlining act with High on Fire, Skeletonwitch and Tribulation serving as support. The trek will begin on March 17 in Baltimore, Md. and run through April 15, closing out in Philadelphia. For a full list of dates visit our 2016 Guide to Rock + Metal Tours.
