August Burns Red to Release Christmas Single

Christian metalcore maniacs August Burns Red, who hail from Lancaster, Penn., will continue their holiday tradition of making a joyful noise by releasing more Christmas music. This year, the band will unleash its version of 'God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman!' See, metal fans, you don’t need to resort to listening to standards offered up by the likes of Elvis Presley or Bing Crosby or even Justin Bieber in order to enjoy festive holiday tunes. You can elevate your Christmas spirit with the always moshtastic ABR!

'God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen' is previously unreleased. The B-side will be the band's cover of 'Little Drummer Boy.' Finally, some cool and crushing carols!

Past ABR holiday singles include an instrumental rendition of 'Carol of the Bells' and 'O Come O Come Emanuel.' We're glad to see they have not deviated from the course of twisting spirit songs.

The song will be available on Nov. 8 via CI Records and it is a super duper special item. It will be limited to just 1000 copies pressed on vinyl in an assortment of colors. So not only is this release cool and Christmas-y, it's also collectible!
