With the 20th anniversary edition of legendary rap-rockers Rage Against the Machine’s self-titled debut on target to arrive Nov. 27, rumors have been swirling that the band might be planning a new album. Guitarist Tom Morello dashed any of those hopes in an interview with Billboard earlier this month, and now, he’s chiming in on why the band might not regroup for a new set.
King's X drummer Jerry Gaskill has been hit with a bit of bad luck lately. Back in February, he suffered a heart attack and underwent emergency surgery before recovering and leaving the hospital after three weeks under professional care. Now, Gaskill and his wife Julie have suffered great losses due to Hurricane Sandy, including losing almost all of their belongings and being dislodged from their home on the coast of New Jersey.
Hard rockers Hinder are back with a new album, ‘Welcome to the Freakshow,’ out Dec. 4, and frontman Austin Winkler isn’t holding back when it comes to opening up about the inspiration behind the album’s heavy tracks. Winkler says most of the songs are a reflection of “a really, really dark drug binge,” which drove him to rehab after the band finished the album.
Bullet for My Valentine fans know that the band recently announced that their much-anticipated new full-length album, ‘Temper Temper,’ will arrive on Feb. 11, 2012, via Sony Music. Now, we have a new music video from the Welsh metallers for ‘Temper Temper.’ The song will be released via all major digital outlets on Nov. 25. Big news out of the Flyleaf camp today, as longtime lead singer Lacey Sturm has announced her departure from the band. The news comes right before the group’s final album with Sturm, ‘New Horizons,’ will arrive in stores and online on Oct. 30 via A&M/Octone Records.

The boys of Iron Maiden are breaking new ground for rock and metal, as the group will be the first rock band ever to play Stockholm’s Friends Arena. The 50,000-capacity venue is brand new, so Iron Maiden will christen the arena with their pummeling metal tracks on July 13, 2013.
