Kudos to Avatar and video director Axel Widen, as the band's video for "Vultures Fly" has been voted by Loudwire readers as the Best Rock Video of 2015 in the 5th Annual Loudwire Music Awards.

The stunning animated video finds the band wrapped up in their own war games as the group heads toward a bomb shelter where they don their gas masks and prepare to ignite destruction upon their foes. Meanwhile, a full world away, their enemies are preparing for the same fate.

"Vultures Fly" is just one of the standout tracks on the band's Hail the Apocalypse album and the eye-catching video likely made a lot of new fans for the band's music.

Avatar earned a significant victory in the category, with Disturbed's "The Vengeful One" and Marilyn Manson's "The Mephistopheles of Los Angeles" finishing second and third in the voting.

Congrats again to Avatar for their win in the Best Rock Video of 2015 category in the 5th Annual Loudwire Music Awards. Look for Avatar back on tour in 2016, with a date coming up pretty quick as part of the ShipRocked Cruise. More touring details here.
