After a successful inaugural Rise Above Fest in 2012, Seether are bringing the event to a new venue in 2014. This year, Avenged Sevenfold will be the headliners for the May 10 festival in Bangor, Maine. Seether will of course be on the bill, as will Motorhead, Hellyeah, Trivium, Kyng, Devour the Day, Black Stone Cherry, Muckler's Circle and Skindred.

In addition to featuring a great lineup, Rise Above Fest will also raise money and awareness for SAVE (Suicide Awareness Voices of Education). The first festival, which was held over Labor Day weekend in 2012 in Gilford, N.H., raised nearly $20,000 through ticket sales, an auction and limited edition t-shirt. Tickets for the 2014 Rise Above Festival go on sale Jan. 31 here.

"The fact that so many people supported our first event, along with all of those who have shared how we helped get them through their own tough times, makes us want to continue reaching out and educating people," says Seether frontman Shaun Morgan. "No one is alone and no one should ever feel that way. Plus, with bands like Avenged Sevenfold, Motorhead and Hellyeah willing to support, it will definitely be a show to remember!"

The festival's name is taken from the Seether song "Rise Above This," which Morgan wrote as a message to his brother, who took his own life before he got a chance to hear it. That experience brought about the creation of Rise Above Fest.

In addition to Rise Above Fest, Seether will play some other festivals this spring and summer, including Welcome to Rockville, Carolina Rebellion and Rock on the Range along with a couple of European festivals in June.
