Motorhead, Rancid, AFI + More to Play Chicago’s 2013 Riot Fest
As the festival announcements continue to roll out, Los Angeles' Sunset Strip Music Festival has a big name headlining this year's festivities. Linkin Park will top this year's bill, following in the footsteps of the Doors, Motley Crue, Slash and Ozzy Osbourne.
This summer promises to be a scorcher regardless of the weather and that's because the 2013 Rock Allegiance Tour will be providing an incendiary rock show for fans across the country. The trek, sponsored by Monster Energy, features a U.N. of hard rock, with Volbeat, HIM, All That Remains and Airbourne making up the bill. Now, the first round of dates for the tour has been announced.

Newsted are currently off to a hot start with their 'Metal' EP and have been playing to enthusiastic audiences so far this spring. The group's debut full-length is expected later this year and the Gigantour trek will provide a great set-up to build to the album's release.
Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators will be strapping on the instruments again this summer to play the 20th anniversary of Wisconsin's Rock Fest. The group got the call after Stone Sour had to back out due to a scheduling conflict.
Official dates for the 2013 Summer Slaughter tour have finally been announced! The 22-date traveling metal fest is set to kick off in San Francisco on July 19 and end just less than a month later in Denver on Aug. 16.
