Zakk Wylde and his band Black Label Society have inducted a new touring member into their fold! Breaking Benjamin drummer Chad Szeliga is the latest to join their legion, and will be filling in behind the kit on their upcoming tour run with Judas Priest.

With Breaking Benjamin’s future a bit uncertain after main man Benjamin Burnley allegedly firing the rest of the band in an email, it looks like Szeliga might have some time on his hands so what better way to spend the fall than out on the road with one of rock’s greatest guitar players of all time!

Although playing drums for Wylde can be a daunting task (Szeliga will be the fourth drummer in a little over a year), Szeliga welcomes the challenge as RockAAA.com recently reported. “Being a hired gun can be hard. If you don’t do your job, you will be replaced instantly. But if you work hard and show the band you’re on your game, it’s a great opportunity. But you have to be hungry.”

The list of BLS drummers that preceded Szeliga include Will Hunt who left to play with Evanescence and most recently Mike Froedge who seems to have left on good terms saying, "It’s not every day that one gets to tour the world with a living guitar legend, and his amazing band and top-notch crew and I will never forget it! [BLS guitarist] Nick [Catanese] and I go back many, many years, and he and we will be making more music together one day soon.”

Szeliga also took to his Facebook page to thank his fans personally and share his gratitude, “Hey friends and fans, did you hear the good news?  I am touring in October with Black Label Society. I am so thankful for you guys, you keep me going. God Bless you and I’ll see you out there!!”
