The Euro festival season is something that music fans should try to experience at some point in their life and if you're a hard rock and metal fan, there may be no better time than this coming year. The Download Festival recently announced that Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden and Rammstein would be headlining their 2016 festivals and now it's time for Germany's Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park to reveal details about their upcoming shows.

An initial list of acts playing both festivals has been announced, with Black Sabbath, Korn and Disturbed among the top line names. You'll also find Red Hot Chili Peppers, Deftones, Bring Me the Horizon, Volbeat, Bullet for My Valentine, Trivium and Amon Amarth among the bigger names playing the Flugplatz in Mendig and the Zeppelinfield in Nurnberg, Germany.

Other announced acts include Alligatoah, Architects, August Burns Red, Beach Slang, Billy Clyro, Billy Talent, Fettes Brot, Frittenbude, Heaven Shall Burn, Heisskalt, Issues, Johnossi, Lexy + K-Paul, Major Lazer, Milliarden, Of Mice & Men, Rudimental, SDP, TesseracT, The 1975 and The Amity Affliction.
