After a solid run by Swedish melodic death metal band Dark Tranquillity, the band was defeated by the hammer of Amon Amarth in our latest Death Match. We tip our hats to DT, but Amon Amarth now begin to carve their path to the Death Match Hall of Fame with the band's new track 'Deceiver of the Gods.' However, Amon Amarth have serious competition coming all the way from Australia.

The mighty Dark Tranquillity have won yet another Death Match, this time against Finnish metal giant Children of Bodom. Dark Tranquillity and their new track 'For Broken Words' are only two wins away from claiming a spot in our Death Match Hall of Fame, but in this next battle they'll have to face a fellow band of mighty Swedes.

Swedish melodic death merchants Dark Tranquillity pulled out a phenomenal win against the Black Dahlia Murder in our latest Death Match. Seemingly as underdogs, Dark Tranquillity managed to defeat TBDM by an impressive margin, but the Swedish metalers have their hands full in this latest battle, as they contend with one of Finland's biggest metal exports.

The Black Dahlia Murder's 'Into the Everblack' has claimed its first victim in Swedish death metal titans Hypocrisy. This victory is the Black Dahlia Murder's first step towards immortality in our Death Match Hall of Fame, which is only another three wins away for the band and their newest track.

Congratulations to Swedish death metal titans Hypocrisy for winning their Death Match debut! Hypocrisy's new track 'Tales of Thy Spineless' defeated 'Fifty Ton War Machine' from Texas death metal act Devourment. However, Hypocrisy's victory may be short-lived, as they take on one of America's largest metal acts this week.

Texas death metal act Devourment have scooped up their first-ever Death Match win after a close battle against Amorphis. Devourment are now three victories away from a Death Match Hall of Fame induction, but they've got one of Sweden's most iconic death metal acts to beat this week.

A whole-hearted congratulations is due to As I Lay Dying, as they defeated their fourth and final opponent in last week's battle, allowing their song  'No Lungs to Breathe' to be inducted into the Death Match Hall of Fame. As is the case after every Hall of Fame induction, we've got two open spaces to fill, and we've got some extreme metal coming your way this week.

American metalcore titans As I Lay Dying have come incredibly close to the Death Match Hall of Fame in the past, even losing out to Suicide Silence after three straight wins. It takes four consecutive wins to gain entrance into the sacred Hall, and finally, As I Lay Dying have earned a spot in the Death Match Hall of Fame with 'No Lungs to Breathe.'

In a close battle of metalcore titans, As I Lay Dying narrowly beat out Killswitch Engage to secure a third straight Death Match win.
