Philip Anselmo, Maynard Keenan, Max Cavalera + More Drawn Into ‘Cooking Hostile’ Episode Three

Yes! We’ve just been gifted with a new episode of ‘Cooking Hostile,’ where a cartoon Philip Anselmo teaches you how to concoct delicious recipes while screaming at your face. Additionally, the third episode of ‘Cooking Hostile’ features animated appearances from Tool‘s Maynard James Keenan, Crowbar‘s Kirk Windstein, Meshuggah‘s Jens Kidman + more.

Although this is only the third episode of ‘Cooking Hostile,’ the series has been enjoyed by metal freaks everywhere. The show parodies some of rock and metal’s most beloved tracks and creates a menagerie of inside jokes. Episode Three is no exception, as throughout the video, Tool’s ‘Sober,’ Sepultura‘s ‘Refuse/Resist’ and Pantera‘s ‘Mouth for War’ are all re-imagined, along with many other songs.

“I was just joking around at band practice after we got done jamming ’5 Minutes Alone’ and I told the guys, ‘What if Phil had his own cooking show and I changed the lyrics to ’5 Minutes On Low?” Everyone got a good laugh out of it,” ‘Cooking Hostile’ creator Joey Siler says.” It was nothing more than a joke, but I had recently got into doing animation as a hobby at the beginning of this year and had messed around with making a few animations and decided to come up with some ideas for the ‘Cooking Hostile With Phil Anselmo’ video.” Having now created three ‘Cooking Hostile’ videos, we’re hoping Siler gives us many more to come.
