Glenn Danzig is bringing back the "Blackest of the Black" tour moniker for another incarnation. The Danzig leader has put together a package that is sure to leave many a stage rocked during the month of October.

Joining Danzig on the 18-date run will be Superjoint, Veil of Maya, Prong and Witch Mountain, making for a solid night of full throttle rock. It should be noted that Danzig is prepping a covers album called Skeletons that's due this fall and that Prong's Tommy Victor appears on the disc, so a crossover performance with Prong on the tour could be in the offing. Dates for the run kick off Oct. 2 in Phoenix and run through an Oct. 31 finale in Los Angeles.

Danzig recently told Full Metal Jackie, "I like being out onstage in front of everybody, getting that energy and giving that energy. Hopefully I am making them forget about all their problems in the world. For however many hours they are at our show, hopefully they are going to have a great time and it makes life a little more bearable for everybody involved.

Superjoint, led by Philip Anselmo, reunited in 2014 and they've been playing shows this year. There has been talk of the band working on new music, but no official album details have been revealed.

After making a vocalist switch following their appearance on the 2014 Mayhem Festival, Veil of Maya completed their Matriarch album and released it back in May. As for the other bands on the tour, Prong are touring in support of their 2014 effort Ruining Lives, while Witch Mountain are rocking in support of Mobile of Angels.
