We're getting closer to the release of Demon Hunter's eighth studio album, Outlive. Having previously shared the new track "Cold Winter Sun," the metalcore veterans have revealed more details regarding the album, unveiling two different album covers as well as the track listing.

Outlive will add 12 new tracks to the band's catalog. The album will be available in standard CD and digital formats, which have received their own album cover (seen below). The double vinyl version will be represented by a slightly different cover, altering the color and the details of the skull face. A drawer-styled box set will include two bonus tracks, a behind-the-scenes DVD, photo cards, booklet, poster, bandana, a ring and more.

Singer Ryan Clark had assumed chief writing duties in the past, but this time these responsibilities were spread out a bit more. “Patrick’s [Judge, lead guitar] contributions to Outlive unveil an exciting new path for the future of the band. He wrote the music for ‘Cold Winter Sun’ and it’s absolutely one of my favorites from the record," said Clark.

“‘Cold Winter Sun’ is a perfect example of where we’re at today, maintaining an element of classic Demon Hunter, but not so much as to be resting on our laurels," he continued when speaking about the album's leading track. "It’s always been my desire to pull a healthy amount of inspiration from our past, but to also incorporate enough forward progression to keep things interesting," Clark finished.

Outlive will be released on March 31 through Solid State Records and pre-orders can be placed here. Catch the band at this year's Chicago Open Air festival with all details found at our 2017 Guide to Rock + Metal Festivals.
