Dimebag Remembered on ‘Headbangers Ball’

The late “Dimebag” Darrell Abbott is the focus of the most recent web-only episode of ‘Headbangers Ball.’ The show includes footage of this year’s Ride for Dime event in Dallas, which took place Aug. 20 on what would have been the guitarist’s 45th birthday.

In the episode, host Jose Mangin talks to Curse Mackey of Dean Guitars and Dimebag’s longtime girlfriend Rita Haney. The show also mixes in videos from Dimebag’s bands Pantera and Damageplan.

Haney, who talked about tensions easing with former Pantera singer Phil Anselmo in another recent interview, discusses Dime’s legacy and how is music has impacted several generations of fans.
