Since Fozzy won five consecutive battles with their track ‘Sandpaper’ to enter Loudwire’s Cage Match Hall of Fame, it’s time to let two new bands and their latest singles duke it out.

Down, led by Pantera frontman Phil Anselmo, shake things up with their brand new track ‘Witchtripper’ off of their upcoming EP ‘Down IV Part I – The Purple EP,’ which is due out Sept. 18 via Down Records/Independent Label Group. It will be the first out of a four disc series. The metal supergroup will head out on the road this fall. For a full list of dates and cities, go here.

Mastodon enter the matchup with their tune ‘A Commotion.’ The song was originally recorded by Canadian singer/songwriter Feist but Mastodon created their own interpretation of the track for the original Record Store Day release of the ‘Feistodon’ 7″ vinyl split single. Rules of Cage Match:

Fans can vote once per hour for their favorite song. If a song remains the reigning champ for five straight cage matches, it is retired to the Loudwire Cage Match Hall of Fame. With so many great songs out there, we have to give other bands a chance!
