Evanescence Preview Another New Song – ‘My Heart Is Broken’

Amy Lee of Evanescence
Wind-up Records

Evanescence fans are being given “what they want,” which are new tunes from the band’s self-titled album, set to drop Oct.11 — unless they decide to release the rest of the songs before then.

The intense and rocking ballad ‘My Heart Is Broken’ is being previewed exclusively on Amazon (click below to listen). The song begins slowly with frontwoman Amy Lee’s dreamy voice singing, “I will wander ’til the end of time / Torn away from you.”

The track quickly picks up speed with a groovy drum pattern and and heavy guitar riffs. The piano driven tune is definitely a hair raiser, especially with Lee’s melodically soaring vocals as she sings the chorus, ‘My heart is broken / Sweet sleep / My dark angel / Deliver us.”

This is the fourth song that Evanescence has released publicly from their new disc. A couple of weeks ago, they released the video for their first single ‘What You Want,’ and then in the same week they previewed ‘Made of Stone.’ Without letting their fans catch a breath, they also streamed ‘The Other Side‘ just last week.
