After over two weeks of voting and four grueling rounds in the books, we've reached the final part of Loudwire's Extreme Metal Olympics. It's been an awesome run, with a total of 32 bands from around the world representing their countries in the competition. With only Death and Dir En Grey left undefeated, the two acts will now duke it out for a gold medal.

Death have had an insane run since the very beginning of the Extreme Metal Olympics. The death metal chemists fronted by the late and legendary Chuck Schuldiner defeated SepticFlesh in the Opening Round of the competition, and went on to best Venom, Lamb of God and Cannibal Corpse in the following rounds.

Dir En Grey boast one of the most insanely dedicated fan bases on the planet. Seemingly coming into the Olympics as underdogs, Dir En Grey first defeated Austria's Belphegor, and went on to eliminate Opeth, Arch Enemy and Children of Bodom to make it to the Gold Medal Round.

This is it. One band will take the gold, the other will grab silver. Check out music from the two bands and vote for your favorite below!

(The Gold Medal and Bronze Medal Rounds will close on Tuesday, August 14, at 12 noon ET. Fans are able to vote once per hour in every poll, so keep coming back to make sure your favorite band wins!)

Death, 'The Philosopher'
Dir En Grey, 'Different Sense'
