Former Biohazard frontman Evan Seinfeld has debuted his new project, a metal amalgam of all stars and unknowns calling themselves Attika 7.

Attika 7 is Seinfeld collaborating with bassist Tony Campos (a founding member of Static X and also known for his work with Soulfly, Prong and Ministry), drummer Dustin Schoenhofer from Walls of Jericho and Bury Your Dead and lead guitarist Rusty Coones.

The music and style behind Attika 7 has been self-described as a ‘true American outlaw lifestyle.’ Their rebellious tunes are set to a heavy groove with melodic harmonies marking a new chapter for each of the four members.

The band fell into place when Seinfield’s best friend Coones hit him up asking if he knew any singers that could join a band he was looking to form, and coincidentally enough, Seinfeld knew the perfect singer – himself.  Seinfeld jumped at the chance to work with Coones and considers Attika 7 a new beginning.

“As much as Biohazard has been the biggest part of my musical past and my main musical focus for more than two decades, it’s time to do something new.” Seinfeld comments. “It is time for me to cement my musical future. I continue to stand behind the ideals projected in songs I wrote and philosophies like standing up for what you believe in no matter what and sticking by your true friends and family to the end!”

One thing the band is built on and takes pride in is their authenticity. Most of their debut album was written by guitarist Coones while he was serving a seven year sentence in jail for what turned out to be a false conviction. If that doesn’t get the creative juices flowing, nothing will! Coones spent most of his jail time in solitary confinement teaching himself how to play guitar and penning the lyrics for what will become Attika 7’s debut release.

Attika 7 are currently in the recording phase of their first album and will release it later this year. The band is currently working on a video for their first single, ‘Serial Killer.’ In the meantime, listen to some of their tunes at the band's official website.
