"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour." - Peter 5:8.

The lucky children of Brooklyn, N.Y., were fortunate enough to experience a ritual from Ghost (Ghost B.C.) on the night of Sunday, July 29. The heavy metal cult brought the entire 'Opus Eponymous' album (sans 'Deus Culpa') and the meat of 'Infestissumam' for an unforgettable performance at the Music Hall of Williamsburg.

Hailing from Sweden, Ghost graced North America earlier this year, touring off the act's second studio album, 'Infestissumam.' The band will soon travel to South America before rounding out 2013 with shows in the U.K. and even more U.S. shows.

Skeletonwitch provided the night's opening entertainment, assaulting the Brooklyn crowd with blackened thrash metal. The Ohio act play a much heaver style of metal than Ghost, but those in attendance definitely dug Skeletonwitch's offering.

Ghost's setlist was almost identical to what the act performed during their 'Haze Over North America' tour, with only one new song added since. That one new song is 'Ghuleh/Zombie Queen,' an over seven-minute masterpiece which explores the entire spectrum of Ghost's sound. The Brooklyn crowd, just like the Manhattan crowd did in May, chanted "Ghuleh! Ghuleh!" before Ghost returned to the stage for their encore; but unlike the NYC ritual, Ghost surprised their converts with a phenomenal live rendition of the aforementioned 'Infestissumam' track.

Throughout the show, Ghost leader Papa Emeritus II captured the minds of all who offered submission, as the evil Pope constantly reached out his hand to touch his followers, floated backwards toward Ghost's stained-glass background and made an eerie amount of eye contact with fans. Believe us, if you can make eye contact with Papa Emeritus II, he'll stare right back for what seems like an eternity -- and the experience will literally send a chill throughout your entire terror-shocked body.
