HIM Unveil Music Video For ‘All Lips Go Blue’

HIM fans received bad news over the weekend as the band canceled their North American tour due to frontman Ville Valo's current troubles with severe asthma and presumptive pneumonia. However, HIM fans with watery eyes can now focus on a nice pick-me-up in the form of the band's new music video for 'All Lips Go Blue.'

The clip finds the band's members as apparitions who oversee the stormy seas surrounding a surreal 'Alice in Wonderland'-like world in which they're able to live and perform amidst a giant chess set.

The group's members perform on different sides of the board as the chess pieces, mostly designed with the group's heartagram logo visible, move about the board. But as the video continues and the lyrical content gets harsher, one-by-one the pieces begin to crumble until there's but one familiar piece left standing.

'All Lips Go Blue' appears on HIM's recently released 'Tears on Tape' album. Though Valo is currently out of action, he's expected to be fine in time for the 2013 Rock Allegiance tour in North America this summer. Though dates have yet to be revealed for the traveling package tour, the lineup is known. Volbeat, All That Remains and Airbourne will be joining HIM on the run.
