HIM Rock New York City All Night Long With Help From Motionless In White + Wounds
The veteran Finnish act's set spanned about two hours long, but for any HIM fan that just isn’t long enough. One special moments of the night was a live premiere of their song ‘Love’s Requiem.’ Fans also lost their minds to favorites ‘Razorblade Kiss,’ ‘Pretending,’ ‘Right Here in My Arms,’ ‘Soul On Fire’ and ‘Buried Alive By Love,’ just to name a few.
The band also performed songs such as ‘The Fortress of Tears’ and ‘Heartache Every Moment,’ which they have not played live since 2005. Tracks like ‘Bleed Well’ and ‘Killing Loneliness’ also made their way into the lengthy setlist.
HIM also pleased the fans with a few covers song, including their popular take on Chris Isaak’s ‘Wicked Game' and the set-closing rendition of Billy Idol’s ‘Rebel Yell.’
Motionless in White took the stage beforehand and gave an energetic performance as they played the new songs ‘Everybody Sells Cocaine’ and ‘Contemptress.’ They also did a cover of Danzig’s ‘Mother’ that pulled at the heart strings of many New York fans
Irish rockers Wounds opened up the show with a blistering performance. The Dublin lads traveled a long way to play tracks from their latest disc ‘Die Young’ for the New York City crowd and no doubt they gained some fans here in the States after their set.
